Top Ten Tuesday #1

Ten Hidden Gem New Adult Fiction Books

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the wonderful people at the broke and the bookish. This weeks topic involves books that are hidden gems in the genre of your choice. I chose to do New Adult fiction books.

At this point, just about any New Adult book is a hidden gem. Bookstores don't even have a New Adult section, which is a bummer since it's becoming one of my favorite genres!

For this list, I've rounded up a few new adult books that I absolutely love!

1) Flight by Alyssa Rose Ivy

Not only is Flight an awesome paranormal romance, but you can often score it for free on Amazon! That is exactly how I first discovered this series that takes place in the big easy! The world created by Ivy is engaging and the characters are hilarious.

Check out my review of Flight here!

2) Shadows of the Ancients by Christine M. Butler

This werewolf story is truly entertaining! The main characters best friend manages to make me laugh practically every time she opens her mouth! Be warned however, the second book in this series is even better than the first!

Check out my review of Shadows of the Ancients here!

3) Bloodfire by Helen Harper

I wouldn't classify this as being a werewolf story, but instead a shifter story. I love how this book introduces all kinds of different shifters, from your typical wolf to a honey badger. It would be super wild to see some of the scenes that involve all the different animals.

You can see my review of Bloodfire here

4) Hope(less) and Clay's Hope by Melissa Haag

Melissa Haag allows us to see a story unfold in both the female's and male's pov. Both books are great in their own way. If you get the chance, I would say to read both, because it's pretty great to see the story from someone else's perspective. Not to mention, we got to see what was going on in Clay's head!

You can check out my reviews of Hope(less) and Clay's Hope!

5) Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

McGuire's Beautiful Disaster is one of the novels that first introduced me to the wonderful world of new adult books! Full of romance, action, and suspense, this story kept me turning pages. I had to know what was going to happen next! Far warning however, this isn't rainbows and unicorns love, this is messy...super messy love.

See my review of Beautiful Disaster here!

6) Deep Blue by Jules Barnard

Deep Blue is similar to Beautiful Disaster, however, it isn't quite as messy. It too kept me on the edge of my seat! The characters are great...especially Jaeger!

Check out the review of Deep Blue here!

7) My Own Mr. Darcy by Karey White

This nod to Pride and Prejudice is, dare I say, one of the most adorable books I have ever read! It is a super cute romance that is sure to make you grin from ear to ear!

Find my review of My Own Mr. Darcy here!

8) Accepting Fate by Deanna Chase

Although Accepting Fate is technically the second book in the series, you can definitely pick it up without reading the first. I did just that, and didn't feel as though I had missed a beat! I absolutely loved the light fantasy element Chase wove into the story! This is soulmates as you have never seen them before!!

Look for my review of Accepting Fate here!

*Not quite ten books, but I'm still working my way through this new genre! Hopefully I'll find some more hidden gems 😊
