Book Review: Cold Blood (Dirty Blood Book 2) by Heather Hildenbrand

Dirty Blood Series Book 2
Title: Cold Blood
Author: Heather Hildenbrand
Series: Dirty Blood #2
Pages: 366
My Rating: ❤❤❤❤❤

Wood Point Academy is not at all what I expected. For one thing, it looks like a cross between military school and Buckingham Palace. Everyone stares, the floors shine so bright you can see your reflection in them from a mile away, and no one smiles. Unless they're kicking your butt in the process.

At least I've got plenty to take my mind off the fact that my psycho cousin, Miles De'Luca, keeps calling and declaring his love and promising to come for me just as soon as he's destroyed anyone standing in our way. Wes isn't going to like that idea. So between Miles, Wood Point's evil welcoming committee, and the drill sergeant hottie trainer from hell, I just keep asking myself, how did I end up here?

After reading about how Tara was going to be sent to a school for hunters, I thought "okay, this is going to be a filler book." However, I was surprised, and definitely in a good way! I think that attending this school allowed Tara to see exactly what Wes has gone through his entire life. When she walked down the hallway she would get snide comments just thrown at her left and right. Luckily though, she was able to find two misfits that weren't afraid to be her friends. Logan and Cambria certainly were misfits, but they were just what Tara needed!

One thing is for sure, if you doubted the idea of Tara as fighter, then you certainly won't anymore!!! She refused to back down from any fight throughout the book, whether it be with her cute trainer, or a group of feral werewolves.

Hildenbrand once again did a fantastic job, and I cannot wait to see where the series goes from here! Tara is learning so much more about herself and has some huge decisions to make. At least she will not have to make them alone though, she has a whole bunch of "misfits" that love and support her!

"You catch more fliew with honey, ever heard of that?" He Shrugged.
"I don't like flies. They're annoying." He grinned "I'd rather catch hell."

"Eww. You guys are talking about the library aren't you?"
"Yeah." I smiled. She wrinkled her nose.
"No thanks. I'm allergic."
